SEARAIL-19 ONE DESIGN PRODUCTION UPDATE AND REGATTA READY SPECIAL

The SeaRail-19 program had an excellent 2014 with 10 boats now delivered and 5 scheduled to arrive in the Midwest this Spring. We are totally committed to building the most affordable, high quality, and high performing, One~Design Trimaran fleet on the market. With a team compiled of some of the highest-regarded individuals in the multihull industry and over 2 ½ years of on the water, development the SR-19 has evolved into a very dynamitic watercraft.
Offering an unmatched power-to-weight ratio with a fully laden weight of only 700 pounds, upwind sails of 258 sf and a 278 sf spinnaker totaling an impressive 536 sf of sail. The 19 is the total package – whether it’s day sailing, camping, or racing, the 19 is like no other.
SeaRail Manufacturing - In early 2014 we established a manufacturing agreement with Triac Composites. Triac is a world class, state of the art, composite manufacturing facility owned and operated by Paul Koch (former owner of Corsair) and James Sganzela (former Operations Manager of Corsair).
Triac Composites is also manufacturing the new Melvin & Morrelli Rapido 60 Cruising Trimaran www.rapidotrimarans.com. Both Paul and James have over 30 years of high volume multihull manufacturing experience. They are the best in the business; consistently delivering the highest level of quality. Triac’s current build capacity for the SR-19 is 10 boats per month with the ability to double that, if required.

New Midwest Assembly Site - In an effort to keep the retail price to a minimum, an assembly site has been created in the United States, Midwest Region. Boats in the North American market can now be picked up in the Midwest. This effort will save owners approx. $2,000.00 in shipping costs from Asia, import taxes, and unloading/reassembly fees. Last summer, new owners arrived from California, Florida, Wisconsin, and Canada to take delivery of their new SeaRails. With 100% of the hardware purchased and installed in the USA we’re now able to reduce the initial deposit on boats ordered in North America from $10,000.00 to $5,000.00.

Striving to Obtain Ultimate Performance - In November world renowned multihull sailor and high performance sail designer Randy Smyth spent a day sailing on the SR19. Based on his insightful input, we’ve made a few adjustments to enhance performance without overpowering the boat.
We made changes in rig tuning to reduce heeling, improve helm balance, and make the sails even easier to handle. Plus, we designed and built a longer bowsprit and redesigned spinnaker to further improve downwind performance. The SR19 will now be offered with a Smyth Sails Package. Randy’s impression is the SR19 is a very exciting design which will fill the void in the One Design niche market and still offer plenty of fun for the family. He is looking forward to spending more time on the water. Thanks Randy, can’t wait to go for a blast with the new larger chute!
2014 Boat Show - In December, Don Wigston and the Windcraft Multihull Team displayed the SeaRail-19 at the St. Petersburg Boat Show. The show was a great success generating a huge amount of interest. Patrons were amazed with the SR19’s overall size, the simplicity of the folding system, its light weight, and, most of all, its affordable price tag.
