NEW PHOTOS AND GPS TRACK OF THE SEARAIL-19 ONE DESIGN SAILING IN FLORIDA

Don Wigston of Windcraft Multihull has provided photos and the GPS track from his latest sail on his new SeaRail-19. Thank you Karlene Gentile for the beautiful photos.
Don’s comments and GPS data LINK.
Wind was in the 8-11 knots range.
Unfortunately I forgot to active the recording until we had almost completed our windward leg. The track starts at the green triangle. From there we go upwind for a while, then bear off onto a close reach where our speed gets over 12 mph, then we slow down while rolling out the spinnaker, then reach our peak speed of 14.8 mph. I had no compass on board but from the track it looks like we are jibing through 90 which is pretty good in this relatively light wind. With more wind that angle will close up some.
